This is a 236-page, double-sided magazine showcasing five covers—Clipse, Quenlin Blackwell, Fanum, Karol G, and Central Cee—with exclusive interviews. As part of this issue’s package, we’ve included an accordion-style zine about street art, as well as Headz, a zine celebrating the art, innovation, and cultural legacy of Black hair—guest edited by celebrity hairstylist Nikki Nelms, showcasing inventive styles, archival references, and intimate storytelling. Also included are three pull-out posters (Quenlin b/w Fanum; Clipse b/w Karol G; Central Cee) featuring original photography.

The Influence Issue aims to get at the heart of what makes everything tick in our world, exploring the past, present, and future. We pay homage to OGs like Bobbito Garcia and the late Sasha Jenkins. In two intensive oral histories, we dig deep into the lore of the Madbury Club—the first streetwear influencers—and speak to the people who made L.A.’s Fairfax Avenue a legendary hub of culture.

Elsewhere, we break down the design of Paulin Paulin Paulin’s infamous Dune sofa; link up with rising star Cash Cobain in NYC; and visit the grail-laden showroom of vintage curator Justin Reed. In our first-ever Aura List ranking, we determine which celebs have the most aura. Looking to the future, we talk to streamers Cinna, Rakai, Brooklyn Frost, and Tbvnks—the leaders of media’s next-gen, each of whom is featured on individual GAS trading cards included with the issue. And because influence can have a dark side, we investigate the intersection of hip-hop and sports betting and the rampant spread of misinformation online.
